Mars Direct in Leo: Motivated to Shine

Mars has finally moved back into the Leo after a long retrograde period which included the signs of Leo and Cancer. Now that we have had some time to consider how our emotions impact our will, ambition, and forward movement (Mars Rx in Cancer) as well as how our ego and desire to be noticed and acknowledged and to live from the heart propels us for (Mars Rx in Leo), it is now time to put all of that reflection on our actions to use.

Mars transits Leo this second time around from 4/18/25-6/17/25, and now it is time to be motivated to shine. Whether you are an exceptionally talented wallflower that’s looking to finally put yourself out there or someone that is seeking to showcase what makes you extra special, Mars in Leo provides the courage and confidence to stand in your own personal light and share it with others. Many will be feeling themselves with this energy, and hopefully in a good way which boosts self-confidence and creates even better things in life because you believe in yourself and you are standing in your own light!

As with any transit there are some precautions. Mars in Leo can result in people leading with their egos. Depending on the state of the egoic self, this can lead to trouble if the ego self is overinflated. Themes of being self-centered (like the sun), arrogant, attention seeking to one’s detriment, entitlement, a sense of superiority, stealing other people’s shine, jealousy/envy, and a lack of humility. It’s important to note that humility doesn’t mean that you don’t acknowledge your shine. It is the understanding that while you are shine-worthy so are others. Take the solar system for instance, yes the sun is in the middle (Leo), but it wouldn’t be a solar system without all the other players (planets).

Here’s to Mars in Leo and being motivated to shine.
